The achievements of the Long Island Health Collaborative to date are impressive, with several years of collaboration and progress. Now we'd like to get serious about improving our outcomes through the Collective Impact Model and Framework.  During a half-day session on September 29th, Collaborative members will work with an expert vendor to outline the components and function of collective impact framework, how it can be used to achieve collaborative community-improvement, and case examples of how it has been used in similar projects. During the second half of the program, participants will work to develop enhanced measurement practices to better align our working groups to our overall goals and strategies.

PLEASE NOTEThis event will replace the Long Island Health Collaborative meeting originally scheduled for September 28th.

About Collective Impact

From collectiveimpactforum.org

"Too many organizations are working in isolation from one another.

Collective impact brings people together in a structured way, to achieve social change. It starts with a common agenda. It establishes shared measurement. It fosters mutually reinforcing activities. It encourages continuous communication. And it has a strong backbone."

In our case, that backbone is the Long Island Health Collaborative staff.

Event FAQs

Do I have to be a member of the Collaborative to attend this event?

Normally, our meetings are open to the public and free for anyone engaged in improving the health of Long Islanders. For this event, however, we're looking to better align our existing partners. So for one night only, we're going to limit attendance to current members.

Where is parking for this event?

Free parking is available just outside Roosevelt Hall on the SUNY Farmingdale campus. A map will be provided.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No need for tickets!

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

It's important we know who is coming from each organization, and what their role is, so please be diligent about filling out your registration information.

Can multiple people from my organization attend?

We would love to have EVERYONE from your organization attend. But for the purpose of space, we're going to cap each organization at two participants. If you'd like to send more than two people, please contact us at LIHC@nshc.org.
