Collaborative Member Has #ReadyFeet, Wins Prize Drawing

August 30, 2017

The third randomly chosen winner of Are You Ready, Feet?™ drawing is all too familiar with the physical activity portal – as she was one of the members who inspired it. For the first time, it was a member of the Long Island Health Collaborative who won a basket of health and wellness prizes along with a Fitbit Flex from the Collaborative’s quarterly drawing.

Sue Palo, Director of Rehabilitation and Community Services at St. Francis Cardiac Fitness and Rehabilitation Center, has been with the LIHC since its inception in 2013.

“And I really do walk!” Palo said, as she claimed her new FitBit Flex, and a pile of items donated by partners of the LIHC for the Are You Ready, Feet?™ winner. Our online Are You Ready, Feet?™ portal allows users to track their physical activity by minutes moved, miles traveled, or steps walked. You can sign up here, and for each activity logged, you receive an entry into a random drawing for health and wellness prizes, like the one Palo walked away with.

With 114 activity logs and a total of 261.75 miles moved, Palo does a lot more than walk.

“I teach yoga, three different kinds actually,” says Palo. At St. Francis specifically, Palo teaches both Healing Heart Yoga and Yoga for a Healthy Back, to improve cardiac patients’ symptoms of back discomfort, while promoting relaxation and well-being. “I’m also currently working on a research project related to stress management for patients with heart disease.”

If Sue can do it, so can you!

The real question is, what are you waiting for? Sign up today, and get those #ReadyFeet moving!
