This new data analysis looks at three years of SPARCS hospitalization data – 2016 – 2018. SPARCS data (Statewide Planning and Research Cooperative System) is a comprehensive all-payer reporting system collecting inpatient and outpatient discharge data.
The LIHC analysis examines a variety of ICD-10 codes, particularly those relevant to chronic disease conditions. Selected injuries are also examined using the ER database. The analysis looks at each county and also selected communities and compares results to New York State. Take a sneak peak at the data by going to our website.
Our data analyst will walk participants through the analysis and provide instruction on how to use Excel Power Pivot to draw down parts of the data and produce a customized report. If you are well-versed in the use of Power Pivot, this tutorial will be a good refresher.
