The Maurer Foundation is able to provide non-clinical, unpaid internships and/or volunteer opportunities for both public health and nursing students. The focus of these placements will be on community health education and promotion, program development, program delivery, research and outreach. Students will be trained to create curricula to implement and evaluate breast health health education in schools, universities and the community. Students will also conduct community outreach to raise awareness of issues relating to breast health. In addition, students may be asked to review recent research findings to keep program information current.
