New York State is sponsoring this mammogram van for women ages 40 and over. This is a screening mammogram only. If a woman has health insurance, her provider will be billed. If she doesn’t have health insurance, the cost will be processed through the Cancer Services Program of New York, if eligible. No prescription necessary.
Appointments MUST be made ahead of time. Last mammo (if any) must be more than 366 days ago. *Please note: This event will take place in the Library parking lot. Registration required. BPA228
Eligibility:
- Must be female and 40 years of age or older
- No mammograms in the past year
- Not pregnant or breastfeeding
- No implants or breast issues, such as a lump or nipple discharge
- Never diagnosed with breast cancer
- Office visit within the past year with a gynecologist, primary care physician, or internist who is willing to accept the results of the screening
