Event Link: Using a Stepwise Approach to Optimize Asthma Treatment: A Review of Medications and Devices
Asthma Medication and Devices:
Ann Cuccia will guide participants on how to instruct individuals with asthma on the optimal use of medications and delivery devices. Ann will discuss how to teach technical concepts to patients in language each can understand.
The Step-wise Approach:
Dr. Kalliope Tsirilakis will teach participants how to follow the “Stepwise Approach.” Asthma medications used to control asthma must be monitored and sometimes "stepped up" or "stepped down" to achieve optimal control.
Program Purpose:
•Identify and explain use of asthma medication delivery devices
•Explain techniques to optimize use of asthma medications and devices
